seo scam: guarantee on first page of google

is seo scam / spam the latest hottest thing on the internet? this site has received quite a few messages to 'guaranteed first page google ranking', 'to increase your online leads'...

the only contact left was email address with free domain (eg gmail.com). no website. no company. no telephone number. what reputable company would leave unsolicitited messages without any proper professional contact information? what are they hiding?

when you have a website, the utmost thing you want are traffic, traffic and more traffics. seo is the latest hottest buzz to get people believe in its mighty power to get you on top search engine results.

if everyone are 'guaranteed' to be on the top, who's really on the top? there must be someone on the bottom.

and if done incorrectly your website can be penalized or removed from search results all together.

i'm not seo expert, but i did a bit of research into it and know the basics. my conclusion is, there are no way anyone can guarantee your website will be on the top of search results. algorithms used by most search engines are black-boxed and constantly modified. be suspicious you're told they have insider knowledge, unless it's someone working in the algorithm project and knows the algorithm well, or is bribed to alter your record in their systems to make your website appears on the top.

getting your website indexed on search engine takes time and moving up the ranking needs effort. you need to work on your content to get the relevant keywords. write your content for your audience, not search engines - they are getting smarter and know what's natural and what's not.

of course there are reputable seo services that can help you getting the right keywords in your content and perhaps promoting your website. the best they can do is to advise and assist. not guarantee - if they ever guarantee anything, you better think twice about using the service.

do a bit of research into seo yourself. there are many useful information on the internet. getting basic knowledge will help you evaluate the seo services and advises.

if you ever received anyone offering service to appear on top of google or get more leads without any reputable professional contact, ignore and delete! if they're really that good people should be able to find them via search engines. they should not hide their company / business as it's a proof how good they are. and they should know spamming messages is a no no.

Any ass hat that sends spam claiming such a guarantee is just that - an ass hat. I'm pretty amazed when they spam me and I'm sure they're also spamming other SEO companies - D'uh - don't they think we'd know better. I also love the spammers who leave blog comments with the same claim and then insert 100 links into the comment for SEO. All they're doing is giving the business a bad name. Give me a break!

Good information. All the more reason to do your bit of research before working with any company. It's a shame there are people out that that like to scam. Makes it harder for the rest going legit.
