PuTTY: import and export settings

tool

putty does not offer functions to import and export settings. settings are saved in the registry and are imported and exported manually.

export

  1. open registry
  2. locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham
  3. file > export, save the file
  4. copy this file to destinated machine

import

  1. open registry
  2. file > import. look for the saved file from above.
